Do screenshots of text messages have to e translated?

Hello:

 

I received a ROE for my wife's I-130 and it asked for evidence of relationship before our wedding and after it as well. I was going to submit screenshots of text messages and online communication between both of us but I was wondering if I have to translate it or not?

Of course they have to be translated. How do you think they would be able to understand what you have written?

If the messages are in the language of the country where the interview taken place they do not need translation.

True, however in this situation, it us the USCIS that requesting, and anything submitted to them must be in English or accompanied by an English translation

Context is King here.  For USCIS the above is not correct.  Only when submitting to NVC or Consulate would the above statement be correct.  Anything submitted to USCIS MUST BE translated.

Yes, true. At the USCIS stage translation is necessary.
