Hi everyone in October boat! Not sure if there's already an October thread going on, please admins merge.

I am assembling my package now to file. My window opened in August 27th and card expires in November 27th, but I am currently pregnant and my due date is October 10th. So i figured it would be better to file once the baby is here, that way we would have more evidences to add in our package. I know it probably won't make any difference, with baby pics and birth certificate lol but still something more.

How is it going for you guys? Tricks? Tips? Advices? Questions?  Worries? Shoot it all in here lol! Good luck to all of us, and may Lady Patience be our bestie! haha. Happy October!

I dropped my package off today. My window opened today and my greencard expires on Jan 2nd 2020. I filed “early” bc I figured if something is wrong with my package and USCIS rejects it, it takes a month to get back so I want to have some buffer before my greencard expires just in case because you never know... Hoping everything goes well and I will see the check getting cashed next week 😊

Does anyone know what the last status was whether everyone gets interviewed for I-751? I remember when I filed my AOS there was the rumor that Trump was going to change it to all ROCs having to have an interview even if they already had one for AOS

I just saw that there is another October thread... they just didn’t label it with the year. Haha that is why it’s just the two of us in here.

October 2018 filer here. Very long journey you guys just started. There will be many months of absolutely no communication. Be patient all. I myself I'm still waiting. Last action was fingerprints which were done June 2019, 8 months after filing. The extension letter came quickly though. Think 3 weeks after filing.

Hi Everyone,

I sent my package at the beginning of October and received my extension October 15, for 18 months.
I have to renew my driver license with the extension. I've heard some people has had problems when renewing their license with the extension.

Anyone has done it yet?

Thanks,

I did. I'm in illinois and the person at the DMV was new and had no idea what the letter was. She called her colleague who said it was fine. Took 30 minutes because of her confusion but eventually it was done.
