As soon as possible to avoid being out of Status

please read the guide for AOS from K1... it’s a really good idea to read these first then come back and ask remaining questions. Look under the guide tab on any  vj page  and also search on the USCIS website to ensure you get up to date information

Apply ASAP, the sooner the better.  Check the USCIS website for the latest edition of the I-485.  Everything is explained there.  Alsodont forget to file the I-131 and I-765 along with AOS.

Agree with above, apply for AOS/EAD/AP (I-485/I-765/I-131) concurrently for both K1 and K2, ASAP.

For concurrent AOS/EAD/AP submission, refer to the special instructions tab on this USCIS site: https://www.uscis.gov/i-485
