Hello all

I had interview last friday (29th) and i was told that its approved. also ceac status changed to issued same day.

But i haven't got notification to pick up my passports . also dos website status is still showing interview .

Is it normal?

Congrats Manish! Happy or you! Yes thats normal...passport pick comes in email about in a week...

as of today - nothing. i guess we will have to wait for another couple weeks

I am seeing couple of people got ILs who DQ'd in March and April of 2021. However consulate's website is showing they are sending IL's to people who DQ's in July 2020. Does that mean they are speeding up the processes.

 

I am confused. My Wife(a greencard holder) petitioned for me in September 2021 and I am hoping to receive DQ this month. What will be the current wait time for me?

@dhruvroom The website is not updated yet. Did you already got your I-130 approved?

@Blueeyes1989 Yes It was approved in the begging of this year.

 

I am checking IR/CR tracker and I do not see Visa Catagory Column, How can I find out which one is IR1 and Which one is CR1?

@dhruvroom Do you know which category of visa, did your wife petitioned you for? I bet it is F2A, hence you should look at the F visa sheet. Also, it does not matter whether you are F2A, F2B or F3. They are all considered same category(i.e. F based) and hence given equal weightage. Same holds true for (IR1, IR2, CR1, CR2) and (EB1, EB2, EB3).

@Blueeyes1989 my visa category is shown as CR1 in NVC portal but my wife is a greencard holder. Is this even possible?

 

I am even more confused now. My understanding was that IR1/CR1 is for spose of US Citizens and F2A is for spouse of PR.

@dhruvroom This is super weird. It cannot be CR1. Please check if your wife is US citizen or green card holder. If later, then contact NVC to correct this mistake.

@Blueeyes1989 it was my mistake in reading it. It was C21 which is F2A . So from what you said, I should be looking at F tracker, which means I am looking at least 2 years to get the interview letter from the day I get NVC approval.
