K1 appointments are for most consulates,  applicant scheduled

YMMV

Try calling the consulate.  If that doesn't work, email again.

Ok.  My fiancée was the beneficiary.  They wouldn't respond to my emails.  Only to hers.  :-)

If your fiancée is the person who is the beneficiary (the person receiving the visa), then ask them to email.  In the subject line of the email, use the Case Number that you received from the NVC, along with the Beneficiary's Name.  Eg.  PNM2016501002 TandClaudia

Also, @US&TN has had dealings with the consulate in Tunisia.

Let's ask their opinion.  :-)

Hello,

Does the DS-160 need to be completed AND do the application fees  and paid BEFORE the embassy reaches out?

Does the Beneficiary need to pay the fees and schedule the interview?

OR

Will the embassy contact the Peitioner?

OR

Will the embassy contact the benificary?

Does the Applicant (beneficiary) need to schedule the medical exam ON THEIR OWN?

OR Will the embassy provide directions?????

There are zero clear guidelines and the people on the phone are NOT helpful.

Have you given any thought to exploring the Embassy's website for your answers????
