Can I still run my small business when I’m waiting my EAD during i485 pending ?

I have a small business in my own country Taiwan. Now I’m on vacation. I came to US with Esta to visit my bf. And now we decide to get married. I’m gonna stay here and do Adjustment Of Status. 
Before I left Taiwan,I left some of my handcrafted jewelry there and my friend would helping shipping it if ppl order. 
The money goes in my taiwan bank account. 
When I was just traveling US I didn’t think about it. Because I don’t work for anyone and I don’t earn money from here. Didn’t think it would be problem. 
But now I’m going to AOS so I want to make sure what I’m doing now is ok before i got EAD.

pretty sure you have to go back to taiwan and file CR-1 visa, entering the US w/ a visitor visa and marrying then staying is considered visa fraud in most cases, some do get approved but it is quite rare and i wouldn't want to risk it.

From what you posted, I don't see any issues......you are not working inside the US.......

 

Side note:  Be aware of the consequences of adjustment of Status....i.e., not being able to leave and return until you have Advance Parole.  Taiwan is a great country......have you considered a CR-1 and visiting during the process instead?

No, it is not fraud if he/she did not enter with the intent to stay and adjust.........He is legally able to adjust.....

If you were really a tourist at that time you went through custom and they let you in. It’s totally legal to get married to a US citizen and AOS while you are here.

Ppl can’t AOS if they came here with ESTA except US citizen’s Spouse.

They can't enter the US as a tourist with the intent to stay and adjust.......period.

Thanks for replying. I was quite worry Bc I’m not sure they just forbid me to work before I got EAD ( including self employed ?)

or they don’t want me to have any income??

Me and my bf already been apart for 3 years. Since we started dating it’s been a long distance relationship... now we just don’t want to be apart anymore. So We are planing just stay here and adjustment of Status.

Disregard what those people say.....You most certainly do not want to let your I-94 expire.  If you do, you will lose ESTA forever, and you will be out of status (subject to deportation).

Just be aware you might not be able to travel internationally and work for 4 to 8 months.   If that is important you can still marry here but do consular processing in Taiwan.

 

If your friends are selling your wares in Taiwan and sending you money that is not considered working in the US.
