Mistake IR-1 / NVC Stage

So....self inflicted error.

We put my wife's mom's birth city as 'Vigan'; because that's what her mother had told us during that stage.

The city was actually a nearby city of 'Caoayan' according to her mother's birth certificate.

We put Vigan on the I-130; what should we do @ the NVC stage now that we know the correct city? Correct it? Is this going to be a big problem for us?

Stressed. lol.

Put the correct information moving forward. One time error can be considered a mistake, multiple errors could be considered deception. Highly unlikely there will be any issues once you put the correct city.

Agreed.  Tell the truth as you know it, each and every time.  Truth is more important that consistency.  They don't REALLY care about the city where parents are born anyway.  That information is just to help them be sure WHICH Mary Smith the beneficiary is.  She's the one whose parents are X, from Y.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
