Any advice would be great. I seem to be told one thing by one person and then another thing by someone else. And my head feels like it's gonna explode lol

My visa is cr1

the nvc have our case still, all documents were accepted except one due to my husband not signing his signature in ink. 🤦🏻‍♀️ He used the computer and virtually signed the affidavit of support form. Yes I did have a little moan at him and asked him why he did it. But it's done and We have re submitted the form and are waiting for the nvc to look over the document again lol. But My question is regarding the medical exam. Can I go ahead and have the medical done, with out the nvc forwarding on our case to London embassy and scheduling an interview? Some people have told me as long as I have an LND number I can and it's down to me to book the interview after, And some people have told me I can't. And I have to wait for the nvc

any advice from someone who knows exactly what I can and can't do would be great. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Thanks.

Keep in mind the visa expiration is based upon the medical date. Six months from date of medical.

So if you do it too soon and there's any issues or delays with your package then you may have issues.

Good luck

I talked to the medical office in my country just this morning to ask if I could please go ahead with scheduling a medical already even without an interview date yet but no luck.. 😕 They really needed an interview date first..

I know of a fellow Dutch member here that she just had her medical last Tuesday (also with no interview date yet), but she is a K1 so I think the different answers might be because of that.

Regarding the scheduling of the interview: CR1 and IR1 will be scheduled by the NVC. For a K1, the beneficiary schedules the interview themselves.

I feel your pain, we’re in the same boat! 🤞🏻💪🏻

That sounds like K1s in the UK forum, which is what they do to jump the queue a bit. That is not your process. Maybe the ones who told you that did not look at your visa type or didn't know processes are different depending on the visa.

The NVC is going to pick an interview date and send it to you. Wait for it before you make a medical appointment. The clinic in London will want to see that on the day of your medical exam. For your visa type, getting your medical done early doesn't benefit you so much like the K1s perceive it helps them get on to getting an interview date. You're  going to already have an interview date assigned before your case gets to London.

Have you prepared for the medical by getting your shots and health care summary?

I’m CR1 and just did my London medical, with my interview this coming Thursday.

For the medical I had to provide my email that confirmed my interview date (received from NVC a couple of weeks after all our documents were accepted). I was also wondering whether I could do it earlier but I waited and it seems like you have to for CR1.
