Administrative processing

Hi 

I had my interview at the embassy in 28 february for cr1spouse  immigration visa but i got a 221(g)blue slip paper and they asked me to submit additional documents. I submitted them  5 march and my case status change to administrative processing. In 17 march my status changed to READY for interview, the case day was updated only twice, once in march 21 and the second one was in april 3 but it still showing ready for interview and until this day nothing change. 

I called the embassy and i sent emails but no answer. 

Im just confused and i don't know whats going on and  how long its gonna take.

AP is a black hole, there is no way to tell how long you will be there.

 

My husband and I were in AP for 48 but we were not required to send in extra documents.

 

They do say 60-90 days for review from the day the get the extra papers.

Thank you for your response. 

The problem is they took my passeport the day of the interview i thought it won't take so long. I used to travel to meet my husband but now im stuck in my country and we can't go anywhere.

don't worry about things you cant control.  They kept passport which means its a good sign they just needed to see some additional evidence. 

 

give it time.

Hi, I'm in the same boat. What I heard and I seen in my case if I email the embassy. That very same day the date case changes. And also never here from or no reply.. but what I heard is if the date case changes on it's own without emailing  them then they are working on it and hopefully you here some answers soon!!. What documents was you guys missing?

Don't worry i have the same, i had my interview January 15 they asked for more documents, i submitted all by the next day. 3 months later embassy called me for another interview (investigation for both of us) went great. Since my interview i was on AP till the second interview, it's changed to READY, 5 days ago yet again to AP and I'm still there

The asked me to submit my birth certificate, my marriage certificate and my police record. The date case was updated 19 april and the embassy called me asking for my marriage contract i took it the same day and the officer told they will call me today to tell me when i will get the visa but they didn't.

They called me 19 april and asked for another paper i went to the embassy the same day. The officer who works there told me that my file is complete now and you will get the visa next week but i will call you monday to tell you when exactly, but they didn't call me.

Ughh.

Inchallah hope you here something soon. Why do they do this!! Make us wait and tell us nothing. But in your case it looks like it's going fast, hang in there couple days! I know you hate to here this but yup just wait!!

They'll never do what u have been told like is going to happen!!?. 

I suggest that ur American partner should email them everyday or two days that would make them have more attention on your case than regularly checked in order

Hello

Yes, finally they called me yesterday telling me that my visa is approved now and i can come to the embassy to pick it in two days. 

Ps: I checked the website after they called me and still says ready and the last updated day was 19 april.  It change to issued just 30 min ago.
