I just submitted my petition for my husband's visa. I received the notification last week that my petition has been received. Is that the NOA1? I am confused with when I get the NOA1 and the NOA2. Also, will they tell me the service center that I will be going through with the NOA1? I had received the notification through my text, and still waiting for the hard copy notification.

Thank you!

The hard copy is very important so you know your priority date. After 14days, you can call Uscis to get the receipt number. That is what will be used to track your progress once you sign up on the uscis online tool. And also request for the hard copy if you dont get it yet .You will also know from the three letters, which service center is handling your case. So you are good. The wait game begins now..😁

Looking at Texas, it says 8 to 10 months for the spouse of a USC but 5 to 7 months for the spouse of an LPR? That's... weird. I'm not sure I trust these numbers...

Isnt that because, for an LPR, you dont get a case number from NVC until its available? But for USC, its immediate. I think thats what it is.

Thank you very much!! I just received the hard copy in the mail yesterday. It came from Nebraska, so I am guessing we are at the Nebraska service center. Can we request a transfer to another service center?

For those of you way ahead of me, once I receive my first notice that they received our petition I130. Do

I just hold tight 7-10 months before even looking for any update?  My husband submitted the K3 at the same time but I’ve been told not to hold my breath on that. So we don’t do anything (with regards to IR1) until after the I130 goes through in 7-10 months right?

I just received an e-mail with anticipated processing time.

Estimates/Stats :
Based on timeline data, your I130 may be adjudicated between February 5, 2020 and February 27, 2020*.

Is this time for just the NOA2 before it gets sent to NVC? Or is this process until the interview?

Wow, that's not bad at all. USC spouse, TSC too. Hopefully ours would also take less than 8 months like yours :(
