SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- The San Francisco Police Department is investigating after a man was allegedly stabbed Friday night by another man armed with a sword outside a roller skating rink. 

Scott Sweeney, a customer at the roller skating rink, told KRON4 on Saturday, the sword-wielding suspect was wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat, commonly associated with President Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign. 

Police say the stabbing occurred around 9:50 p.m. Friday, near Oak Street and Fillmore Street, close to the Church of 8 Wheels roller rink. 

Sweeney told KRON4 that him and his girlfriend had a run-in with the armed suspect just prior to the stabbing.

Sweeney says they were outside a nearby convenience store when they noticed a man wearing a "MAGA" hat. 

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
