Context: we have the AP/EAD DUAL CARD

We just had out adjustment of status interview for the green card and got APPROVED. My uncle passed away and I'm able to take some time off next week and next week only.

Was told that the green card should arrive in 1-2 weeks.

Would travel without the physical card be advised? Wouldn't they have it in their system?

Should we still get an infopass for the stamp in the passport?

If you already have the AP card then why would you get the stamp in your passport???? That doesn't make any sense whatsoever. But you will be fine to travel with just the combo card right now until the GC arrives.

I guess it was just a question weather if it was nessesary to be extra safe. We told the interviewer of the situation and he said just said be cautious, but he also said usually there's no issue. Haha thanks :)

Normally I would say wait until the GC until you travel but you have a legitimate issue that you need to travel for. So in this case I would say go ahead and go to the funeral.

Actually, I may be wrong but when I went to my GC interview, I was approved on the spot.
The officer TOOK the EAD/AP Card. It becomes void once a GC is approved/issued
He did allow us to keep ours because we were concerned the GC might be delayed but the IO punched a hole in the EAD/AP card deeming it void in the meantime.

OP, how is your EAD card. Is it punched/altered in any way? If it is, I caution you not to travel since it is no longer a recognized document per immigration.
Simplest thing is to go do an infopass and get a stamp.
