I would pat your head, but you know Amanda/Chayne is on that status 60 days after interview so one never knows what's going on behind the scenes. 

 

That is extremely fast, but your medical was there so you remain on the fast track to move on to the next steps. I still think following the order the Embassy prefers (like you did) is the way to go. If you get to the interview without everything in place, then you get taken off the track and (I think) probably slow the process in general so it hurts everybody. Imagine their pile of cases to get back to and the extra manhours it takes to sort those people who who couldn't be arsed to follow instructions. I don't mean to offend anybody, it's just one bloke's opinion, so don't mind me.

 

No reason to think you won't have your visa by Monday/Tuesday. Now that's optimism 😄 but don't quit your day job yet. Printers break down, computer systems get hacked and are taken offline for weeks, the delivery truck breaks down....I've seen all these happen to UK people. (Mine was the truck 😂)

 

oh wait...you said ISSUED?!?  WOW. Pictures or it didn't happen.

I was going to say I thought they were stuck in AP. I feel terrible I always see an updated post from them and think "Finally they're done!" And then it's more bad news. 

 

About quitting the day job...Already done 😂 well put my notice in. May the 1st is my last working day! 

 

Oh yeah I'm well aware of if something can break it will, exactly where you don't want it to! It pretty much keeps me in a job to be fair (Aircraft Maintenance Planning loves misery!) 

 

I'll get the picture when I'm upstairs, it's horrible on my phone to do!

I didn't bother with additional texts and whatnot as generally speaking as we both cuss like crazy! 

 

It's an unreal feeling, it genuinely is. Just sheer elation. 30+ thousand miles, 10+ months of paperwork, so many worries, stressors and uncertainty on the process and that's it. All for 7 minutes at a window  

This site has made it so much better as there's always someone who knows what's needed and sometimes it's just nice to read other's experiences. 

 

it makes sense they dont ask for any of this as they dont include it on their checklist of things to bring for the interview. It would be kinda shady if they asked for stuff they didnt tell you to bring. I think for the UK at least you dont need it as the applicants relationship has already been checked as bona fide, maybe in exceptional cases they may request you bring stuff with you before the interview.

Yeah I guess so. But in this whole thing and reading through the pages, pages and paaages of forums, I would always rather have something and not need it, than them want something and me not have it.

Ahh I've been waiting for your review and I'm probably going to read it over and over for reassurance for mine on Friday!

I hope to be posting the same kind of elated and happy post as you and also for such a speedy issue of the visa as I am so ready to get going back over there and starting my life!
