Has anyone seen this on the USCIS government website??

It says under the i-129f petition "EDITION DATE"...

'11/07/18. Starting 04/29/19, we will only accept the 11/07/18 edition. Until then, you can use the 04/10/17 edition. You can find the edition date at the bottom of the page on the form and instructions.'

And at the bottom of the site, it says 'Last Reviewed/Updated: 02/25/2019'

So it appears the just changed this! You would think to fill out the new edition and not an expired one??? This would be a sneaky way in my opinion to not accept the petition for fiance visa.

Why would they not want to accept a petition and get the fee?  If you submit the outdated petition, they reject immediately and do not process your fee

They don't need "sneaky" ways.  People make a lot of stupid mistakes which cause rejections and denials.....like including incorrect fees or omitting things like the letter of intent or proof of meeting within 2 years.....

You are misreading it.

Not what it says and not how it works.  They are accepting BOTH versions until 4/29/19 at which time the old version becomes obsolete.  It is called a TRANSITION period between versions to avoid as many submissions still trying to use the older version.  Educate yourself, they only take the fee if they accept the petition.

No they won't. If somebody submits a form that is outdated, they reject it. Rejection = no payment is processed. This has been the case for years.

The old form is still being accepted.

Ok. It would make sense they would accept a new edition. Their choice of words are confusing to me.

I don't see any confusion......after 4/29/19, they will accept only the new edition.

If they had said "you may CONTINUE to use the 4/10/17 version" then it would be clearer, HOWEVER, you added the word "ONLY" to your interpretation of the use of the 4/10/17 edition which is not there.

'We will only accept' is there on the website. Check it out on the site. I wrote word for word.

Starting 04/29/19, we will only accept the 11/07/18 edition . (THE NEW VERSION)

So starting 4/29/19 the only acceptable version is the NEW version.  Which means all prior versions are obsolete after that date
