Yeah but many people have done complaints so I doubt it. It takes just a month.

my husband and I sat in AP for almost 2 months for nothing, no other documents requested just a 221G handed down.

so yeah they can pretty much get the documents review them and still leave it in AP.

as they site it standard AP processing.

and TBO even if they get the papers and deem they will leave you in AP they can send back the passport no visa and attach a 221G paper marking AP also.

there is no Rhyme or Reason to Cairo Embassy.

My husband had the interview in the Embassy of the United States In Cairo on February 18,2019. The officer checked everything and he told my husband that he needs to upload the joint sponsor form I864 and the tax transcript including the proof of citizenship on the ceac website. At the interview they took his passport, birth certificate, 2passport pictures, took marriage certificate and medical. He did the oath. They didn’t say approved though. I checked case tracker and it says ap. Today, my lawyer submitted everything on the website. How long until the consulate reviews my documents and issue my visa? Also does the embassy check the documents as soon as I submit them? Thank you so much

How long was your husband case completed for cuz my case is completed since January 8 I’m waiting for a interview at the Egypt embassy

it takes about 2 to 3 months. we had CC on Dec 6 and heard back on our interview on Feb 14th. you should update your timeline on here, this helps a lot of people see trends with the Embassy.

some get an interview as soon as 5 days after case completion, NVC does not hold what they say they do not go in order of first in first out.

some it takes 3 months to get interview letter, some it takes 5 days, they will start to Schedule Egypt interviews first week of the new month, so start looking for the email from 4/1-4/10.

if you are a K1 I sure hope you didn't go through any type of Religious marriage while together in Egypt....I have seen way too many get denied for this.
