from the i-864 instructions. I guess I need to put "N/A" and not "not required to file" ?

Thank you for your help!

Also what should I put on 24.a.? is the most recent tax year 2018? And if I haven't filed  yet what do I put in that space?

Don't leave it blank.  They've changed the instructions so yes N/A would be appropriate.   You'll need to include an explanation of why you weren't required to file those tax returns.  Right now 2017 is the most recent but if you've filed 2018 go ahead and use it.

Ok, so I should put:

2017, N/A

2016, N/A

2015, N/A

Like this? Since I was unemployed during those years and only got employed in 2018?

You could or you could file your 2018 taxes and have

2018 - $$$

2017 - N/A

2016 - N/A

It would look better.  Thankfully you're not a consulate that is super strict about it but it would look better.

So in 2018 I made only about 6000$. That isn't enough to file taxes anyways, isn't it? Or am I wrong?

You can file taxes if you made $1...

IRS requires people earning over $12K to file, but you can file when your income is lower. You'll most probably get a nice little refund.

You can’t submit more evidence along the way, but I-864 rfes usually comes within the month.

Second that! We got RFE for tax return stuff in like 2.5 weeks after submitting the AOS packet.
