The chart I displayed shows that temps have swung much farther than what we are seeing in our minuscule lifetimes.  The earth is a fascinating machine, and will do what is needed to provide an atmosphere in which we can live, in spite of humans.  Your chart shows a 0.8~0.9 degree variance.  But I guess we will know who was correct in another 10,000 years, eh?

In this case, they showed a picture of her smiling and they concluded she must be bat**** crazy and on drugs because of the way she looked in it. They did not mention anything about the Soviet. It IS sexist.

Isn’t she a public figure with a very crazy plan such as this one being discussed in this thread (eliminating ICE).  Last time I checked crazy plans tend to come from crazy people.

With this chart we are now looking how time correlates with temperature change. Let's not go there. I was already hesitant to get off topic but now we are going on another tangent.

 

  Simply put, we know atmospheric CO2 concentration correlates well with temperature change. We also know too much temperature change in either direction correlates with reduced survival rates. We also know atmospheric CO2 has been higher and lower at various times, but only rare events have seen it change so rapidly over a short time frame. Many of those rare events were so called "extinction events". None of which is to say increased CO2 concentration alone caused such dramatic temperature and climate change. Correlation is not causation. However it is concerning.

I think the meth comments come more from her proposed ideas than her looks.  At least that’s how I took it.

No defense is needed, they are grown ups.  Regardless, the political world is full of memes and off the cuff speculation on either side.  She can do whatever she wants and thank God she is only one of 435 people, but hearing her crazy wishlist makes me cringe as there are more like her out there especially those that were coddled with privilege growing up.

   Most of us have been here a while. People may dismiss it and say it was just a picture and that no one mentioned her looks. I think there is a pattern I've seen before here.

It is fairly simple.  If we as humans produce too much CO2 to survive, we will cease to produce too much CO2 as the earth kicks our butt.  Might not want to be around to see it if it happens, but the earth can handle us.  Personally, I don’t think it will happen as quickly as you are suggesting, but only time will tell.

 

I believe another reason temps are rising is due to all the human construction.  The ground doesn’t hold heat and radiate it the way concrete and asphalt does.  But I don’t really see us tearing things up in order to go back to what was normal 100 years ago.
