I751 is taking too long. Should I file N-400?

Hello, I received green-card through marriage and last September I become eligible to apply for citizenship.

Although, I applied for removing conditions over a year ago, I haven't gotten my permanent green card yet. I have the expired GC and extension letter.  Some people said it is taking uscis longer to process I-751.

Should I wait until my I-751 gets approved or file N-400 while it is pending? I was told that filing N-400 may help. I am not sure if that is true. Would applying for citizenship hurt a pending I751?

I appreciate any option. Thank you. Mark.

File N-400 online, it is easy and no point to wait for ROC if your final immigration goal is to get US citizenship.  You will reduce your waiting time for N-400.  I applied Nov 25, 2018, so two months is gone out of 9.5 to 20 months waiting time for my local office Philadelphia.

Thank you for answers. Do I have to go to interview? I travel a lot for work internationally. I am just curious if interview is required for N400 or I751 or both?

You will have to attend at least one interview.

The N400 definitely requires an interview as you need to pass your civics & English test.  Sometimes the I-751 requires an interview, which can be combined...sometimes they want the spouse for that one from what I've read.
