Tomorrow! Please don't be too nervous. Mine, a 5 year N400 too, was really straightforward. It took around 15 minutes total and there was nothing there to trip me up. Just some basic questions about any change in circumstances or trips out of the country. No to both in my case. The civics questions were straightforward. Ironically, I was exempt from the English tests.

The person doing my interview was friendly and totally non-confrontational. You'll be absolutely fine. All the hard work has been done with the forms and the documentation. Good luck and I look forward to hearing the good news tomorrow :)

Thank you guys! The interview went very well. The officer was super nice and everything felt more like a chat with an acquaintance rather than an official interview. Although I had to wait to be called for 30 minutes, the interview itself only took 15 mins or so. The Oath ceremony is scheduled for 8:45 am on this Thursday. I am very excited and can't wait to officially become a US citizen 😊

This is fantastic news @Lettyana! I know you were very anxious about the delay in processing, as we all are.

So happy to hear that it was a breeze. Congratulations on finally saying goodbye to the ordeal!!!

I had my Oath ceremony this morning. It was very quick but still quite pleasant and exciting. Good luck to all of you who are still waiting for the interview. The journey is almost over!

I also got notification for interview  today (still waiting the mail). I filled on May 2020, but I made change of address to Texas on December which I believe delays little bit for the process. Looks things are going smoother.

Had my interview this morning. Got called about 45 min after my scheduled time. Officer only asked for my appointment letter and green card. I submitted all the pertinent docs and some additional evidence online so that could have helped speed things up. Applied via the 3-year marriage rule.  Interview was fast and easy.  Civics questions, bio confirmation and yes/no questions from the application. Upon completion, officer gave me the form which had a checkmark on 'Congratulations, your application has been approved.' Officer said that since it was 11:35a , I missed the cut-off for same-day Oath by 5min :( I asked if there was any way to squeeze me in and he said sorry that's the policy. Status changed online a couple hours later on the old site to 'We placed you in line for your oath ceremony'. New site has not been updated yet. The stressful part is over. Now it's just a waiting game!

Hello Mixxin,

My date is coming pretty close and I'm a little nervous so please apologize all my questioning:

Did you apply under the 3 or 5 year rule? At what time was your appointment set? Is this the Portland OR office?

Thank you in advance!

Hi All

Curious if any 2020 filers (Portland office) have received interview appointment notices lately? Seems like larger offices like LA and Denver are processing applications much faster (going by the Nov 2020 filer forum). I'm curious if anyone in Portland has seen some traction with their case in recent weeks.

Right on! My interview is next week. Hoping for a same day oath ceremony but it doesn't sound like Portland does that anymore?

Hi!

I think it absolutely depends on the immigration officer. Mine was one that scrutinized a lot, but finally approved. I asked her about same day Oath Ceremony and she said that is only meant for "people who drive 4 or mores hours for the interview", I thought it was a terrible excuse, but I was thankful anyways. I read some other VJ experience in Portland office, his interview was 2 weeks ago. He lives in Portland and got same day Oath. How lucky! So, yes, it varies.  Good luck! 😃

Question to @marthasofi and @Gordo2

Do you mind sharing when you filed your N400? It seems strange that other offices in cities larger and smaller are processing applications much faster than the Portland office. I filed my N400 based on the 5yr PR rule in early Nov 2020. Still waiting for an appointment....:(

You didn't even get biometrics reuse letter?

I applied in July 2020, things didn't get moving for me until March...  I think it is still normal, they took 8 months for me, if they follow that guideline, you should receive something by May/June... Just guessing here!
