My wife came on a K1 visa in September, married in October, filed for AoS in December, Biometrics appointment earlier this month... and we already received our interview date for next month.

Out local office processing times are estimated between 12 and 34 months (Chicago) and I can't believe how quickly we got this interview scheduled.

Any ideas why?

We pretty much know what to expect from the normal interview so not to worried about that, just that the quickness of getting it kind of makes you go "wow, that's crazy, what's going on!"

That's insanely quick, congrats! Did you expedite it or was there any very special circumstance in your case? Otherwise I have absolutely no idea why it's so fast, you guys must be very lucky :) I know people from Chicago that are waiting since June 2018 for an AOS interview and still didn't hear anything.

I'm jealous, I've been waiting since October on "interview ready to schedule" (same field office)

Good luck in your interview 😊👍

Thank you! Yeah, we were expecting about a year wait, so I hadn't even been checking the website for status and just got the letter from USCIS and was stunned. Good luck to you guys, I hope the wait isn't too long!

Yeah, insanely quick is what I thought too, a little scary it's that quick. No special circumstances, just really lucky I guess.

Send some of that luck to us! lol. Our office (Philadelphia) has an estimate waiting time of 13-22 months, and most people that I've read experiences from recently have been waiting 1-1,5 years before their interview. Small chance it's gonna be quick anytime soon (September 2018 filer)

I think Chicago is the same, I thought I would have to wait more time, I have an app where you get notifications with similar cases. I got one before mine, seems like they are scheduling some interviews today. Im sending you our luck over there.

Now I'll start getting worried about the documents we need.

What app is that? Is it called 'USCIS app' or 'case tracker'? Wonder how people from June/July 2018 are still waiting (Chicago) but people later on in the year already get their interviews scheduled. Anyway, congrats on you too! Must be wonderful to know you're almost there (for the next 1,5 years lol) And thanks for the luck, we can use it lol.

Do you guys have a joined bank account, joined utility bills, wedding / holiday greeting cards written to the both of you etc? That's usually pretty good evidence (+ pictures). Good luck and keep us updated on how it goes!
