So I am trying to check the status of our case on the CEAC website and when I put in my case number and the captcha, the page won’t load. Any ideas? Are they working on ours! 👍🤪

Did you already get your case number from the NVC after NOA2? If so, when? Sometimes it takes a little bit for the case number to get recognized, but in your case it seems like the CEAC site is just not working properly. Try another browser, delete cookies cache.

If you didn't get your case number from NVC yet there's no point in checking CEAC.

Probably the system is down for maintenance. There were periods in the past they CEAC was down for several days.

Oh yes. My fiancée has already had her interview and had her visa approved. Now it is in administrative processing and we are waiting for it to say issued so we know the visa has been placed in their passports and they are ready to pick up. Maybe the website is just having issues.

CEAC is working for me ... literally just checked my status. It took awhile to load ..... so I canceled out of the page and re-did the captcha. A few times should do the trick .... it could be site issues due to heavy traffic. Keep reloading , it should work for you too

Hi all,

Apologies for necro-posting, but this is one of the first relevant pages I found whilst googling.

If anyone else has this issue, it appears that there is an incorrect link on the page - it directs to https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx, but should direct to https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?App=IV

The confusion likely comes from https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker redirecting to /Status.aspx which is loaded on page load, and whoever was in charge of the links just copy and pasting what was in the address bar vs what worked.

I have reported this to visaops, listed as the contact for technical issues on the AIS website. Hopefully this helps others while they are able to investigate and fix the issue.

Apologies to admins if I've broken any rules, I registered just to post this.

If you're having problems with the CEAC site timing out when looking up your case, it's because the system is trying to cross reference the immigrant case number with the non-immigrant AA number.  You select Non-Immigrant from the drop-down menu and select the proper Embassy location. Then you enter the AA number from your DS-160 number and presto...a much quicker and consistent response. The output is the same, but you no longer have the problem with the system timing out while doing the search...
