What forms to renew AP/EAD combo card?

We have been ready to schedule an interview since May 2018. Due to the Houston field office backlog for AoS interviews, I believe that we may need to renew my wife's combo card before it expires in August 2019. Do we simply submit the same I-731 and I-864 forms, and pay the same fee again?

If you have a pending I-485 there's no fee needed. You have to apply for a renewal not earlier then 180 days before expiration of the old one. Once you apply for the renewal, your EAD gets automatically renewed for another 180 days after the current one expires. Keep in mind this is not for AP, so she should not travel after the AP is expired and before she has her Greencard!

Make sure that requesting a new AP is ok. You can renew your EAD but you can't renew your AP. This would mean you'd have to wait another 4-6 months for a new AP while you already have an extended EAD. Wonder if that's going to cause a lot of confusion. Also, usually when you renew your EAD your interview won't be another 4-6 months later (usually, there might be exceptions) so double check with USCIS you should even consider to file for AP again.

I wrote it a little weird, sorry. I meant once you have the extenstion letter, usually your interview is pretty soon after. Obtaining a new AP takes 4-6 months, but from what I've heard from other people is that their GC interview is usually not too long after they got their EAD extension, since they were already waiting for about 1,5 years. Of course there will be cases where people do have to wait longer, but fortunately I didn't see it yet.

No You can't file for AP renewal up to 120 days before expiration. If you wanna file both, you have to wait until that day.
