Hi all,

I have had an interview at Mumbai embassy on 7th march.

my visa category is cr1.

My interview went all smooth and good but at the end the lady gave me 221g form which says i have to submit documents for the new joint sponsor to any one of the dropbox with my passport, though my husband and sister in law both sponsored me.

ย

i am worried, could anyone please tell me how much time it will take because i am so much tensed , is it normal or what please guide me guys ???

was your income below uscis guidelines? you will be fine if you provide right forms and papers but this will be delayed for 60 days.so don't be tensed,ย you will be fine.we all cleared 221g with right documents!! so its normal

just provide them what they ask and you will be fine. if you do the research here on visa journey the way i did. less than 2% cases they deny and even thats from africa or some big security checks.don't be scared of 221g.it's normal.i have made so many friends from visa journey and we all received 221g but everyone cleared in less than 60 days.so just nothing to be worried.

ย

Good Luck!!

so your petitioner and sister in law both had low income? please check the income guidelines, did you provide all income tax plus tax transcripts. these days they require transcripts for tax also.

ย

Thanks!!

Make sure first and foremost that you meet poverty guidelines. If you do, it could very well be that they are missing documents from you. They won't proceed if anything is missing even if you meet poverty and are missing documents.

No they both are earning more than the poverty guidelines and submit all of these documents.

but after reviewing we came to know might be we have to submit my sister-in-lawโ€™s husband i864 as a joint sponsor because my sister-in-law and her husband pays ย joint tax so might be they need his tax transcripts and i864 also.

my husband hired a lawyer though to avoid any further inquiries. So lawyer will review the documents and then we will submit the required documents to any dropbox.

ย

i am concerned it this all will complete or still creating problems???? Or the timeline actually ๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ˜”
