Consulate Review: Mumbai, India
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description

Embassy Review : We interviewed way back in Jan 2018 nonetheless wanted to throw this in there. My now husband had a very nice interview. Rep was kind, but unfortunately just about EVERY person who interviewed got 221g.
We sent in a packet with more proof and were approved within 3 days. The weekend crossed us and that is why I say it took 3 days. Submitted Friday, approved Monday. I honestly think they didn't even look at the new packet.
Eitherway, if you DO get a 221g, do NOT freak out. Submit. Move on.
Cheers, best of luck!

Our interview was a SUCCESS Thanks to God! We were scheduled in El Paso at 1015. After 15 minutes past our appointment time we were called back. Our officer was Georgina. She was so kind, pleasant, and very down to earth. Our interview started with the oath, and then we were seated in an office style setting. She was in front of two monitors and we were sitting opposite of her. Picture a work interview setting. She asked both our names, our DOB, where we live, and how we met. The last question caused our interview to last 40 minutes! We met on clash of clans! 😂 She went on to say in all her cases this was a first for meeting on a video game. Our interview quickly switched gears when she confirmed her husband is ALSO INDIAN! What are the chances?! We talked about India, food, glasses, politics, and even invited us to her home for some dosa 😅 She then started to show us photos of her children, and we got our photo album and shared our pictures with her. After 40 minutes she typed a few things, and said I approved you already, you'll receive your green card in 1 to 3 weeks! Our status changed quickly to "card being produced", and then the following day to "approved". All that was missing was a cup of chai! Best wishes to all!

Not sure why it posted twice! 🤦🏻‍♀️ I forgot to mention that we were not asked for ANY proof what so ever! We offered her a few things and she kindly declined. However, she didn't want any financial documents, no W2, no transcripts, nothing at all.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
