Paycheck & health insurance question when sick and not getting paid

I don't know where else to ask this. I currently get paid weekly. I enrolled in health insurance which gets deducted weekly also. I don't get paid when I'm sick.

Now if I'm out for a week or even longer I'm not getting a paycheck. What will happen to my health insurance if I don't get a paycheck? Will I go into a negative balance somehow? Will it be added against my next paycheck once I'm working again?

that is a question for your employer, but likely yes, they will continue to keep your health coverage going they just can't start and stop it if you have no pay.

they will however go back and deduct it, now if they deduct it all at one time or the add it as an additional deduction and take it little by little that is an HR question.

Ask your employer or if it's a personal medical enrollment, call the insurer and ask. Most likely it could be canceled do to non payment like any other sort of thing. Don't pay car insurance, policy gets canceled. Call and ask.

Assuming your insurance is through your employer, they should be able to answer the question for you. Generally one of the following happens: 1) you will pay twice as much in your next pay check to cover your deductible or 2) they'll ask you to submit a payment to cover the deductible. In my experience #2 happens if you're going to miss more than one paycheck, and especially if you don't know when you'll be coming back...

Depends on the agreement with the insurer or employer. They won't cancel coverage for taking a week off work so long as you are still employed by them. But somebody has to pay the premium...either via deducting it from your paycheck or billing it to you. Typically the employer pays the premium on a different schedule than paychecks...premiums are usually due monthly.
