Hello! I got INA(a) asking for extra documents today. How do i prove that my fiancé has domicile in the US? She has a bank account, will this work for proving domicile? can you tell me some documents i can send to prove her domicile?

Also, does anyone have an example of what a notarized police certificate for China looks like?  Thanks!

a utility bill works best for proving domicile. electrical, gas, water bill, etc.

I *think* in your case you should be allowed to/should need to show proof of their plan to re-establish domicile within 6 months of the visa date (I'll let others weigh in). Also proving that the living abroad is temporary. I personally don't have experience with this but a guess would be, are you working with any realtors? Taking out a housing loan? Any jobs lined up in the U.S.? Any information that will tie them to the U.S. in the very near future?

bank statements with a US address might not be enough.  usually people send in a lot more. utilities, letters addressing you at a US address and more.

Oh, just noticed you said stay with her parents.... They are in the U.S.? Include their address along with anything explaining/proving your intent for future domicile.

to get an I-129F approved you have to proof that you have a domicile in the US....this one must be one of those petitions that fell through the USCIS cracks.

Makes me wonder why the K-1 was the right path for you? Surely it would have been better to marry where you are and file a spousal visa? Water under the bridge now but might be helpful to others in a similar situation just starting out on the journey.

This is incorrect you do not need to prove domicile at the I-129f stage.
