DS-160 FEE

Hello,

 

I my case was update on the CEAC website and listed as "READY". I have been collecting all my documents for the interview and getting everything ready for that point. I have gone ahead and completed the DS-160 and submitted it.

I have not been able to pay the fees though. If I go onto the link to pay fees ( which is listed under immigrant visa) I submit all my info and once I enter it.. It brings a notice that k1s are non-immigrant visas and I must submit a ds-160 before paying fees...which I have already done.

 

Is there something I am doing wrong or am I not supposed to pay yet?

I'm a little confused!!

The physician in Toronto wont let me book my medical until I provide an interview date. I inquired before the holidays if I was allowed to book it and they responded that I must provide my interview date to do so.

For my fiance, she still needed information from the medical exam before she filled out the DS-160 completely. We're still in the midst of it. You should be able to schedule your doctor appointment without the interview date but it could be different in Canada. My fiance needed her medical before she could schedule the interview.

Good question, now im a bit confused. Do we pay the ds-160 fee when do the form online, in person at the consulate or when we sign up for our interview?

Where are you trying to pay the fee? The fee is paid on the site where you book your interview, not where you do the DS-160. If you are on the interview booking site and having that issue then something else is wrong... It makes you pay right after you enter courier address but before you can pick an interview date, which in your case you can't do until you have Packet 4 anyway, but, I believe you can go as far as to pay the fee and then wait to book interview.

 

@Smashy - You can also pay in person at the consulate as far as I've read.

Yes, in Canada you cannot book medical until your interview is scheduled.
