Traveling outside of the US while waiting for removing conditions

Hello, 

 

I've been outside of the US for 4 months now and still planning on staying at home in Europe for a couple more. 

 

I'm waiting for removing the conditions. I sent the application before I left back in July and didn't know I'd go to Europe for so long. 

 

Do I have to send additional information? Does anyone have an experience with this, please?

Did you already do your biometrics?  I am not aware of anything else that needs to be sent in.  The only other thing to keep in mind is that when staying out of the US as an LPR for 6 months or more may raise some eyebrows at CBP, and if you plan to stay out longer than 12 months you need to get a re-entry permit.

I didn't. I'm still waiting for the letter. It hasn't been scheduled yet.

 

Is there a way to send a letter to CBP to explain my situation and that is because of family reasons? Thank you!

How do you know a biometrics letter has not been sent to you yet? You should have gotten your biometrics appointment by now. Have you tried to see online or call to see what is up with your case? 

 

I will not comment on the rest of it but I would not be surprised if you have an interview and they ask about the long absence.

Not to my knowledge relative to sending USCIS a notice.  As to the biometrics, that is kind of surprising as that usually comes fairly soon after submitting the application.  Are you sure the person collecting your mail did not miss it?

It may not have been needed. I'm part of the group in which USCIS is "reusing" their biometrics (so glad I paid for that). Took them 3-ish months to send us that notification as you can see in my signature. But you'll definitely want to make sure whoever is watching your mail is looking through everything. Perhaps you got the "waiving your biometrics" letter? I agree that you should have received something by now

Biometrics appointment for people who filed at csc have been delayed. People who filed around may are still waiting.

Thank you all! Yes, I haven't received it yet as the person who takes care of my mail would let me know. I'll try to wait a bit longer.
