My fiance is going to get his passport style photos today for the Medical and Embassy. I'm confused I read on the London K1 Guide on here it was only  1 US and 2 UK, then I read it's 4 UK for Medical 2 US for Embassy. Can anyone clarify that has been through London Medical and Embassy phase recently what exact photos you brought? Thank you!

4x UK or US style passport photos for Medical

2x US style passport photos for interview.

I actually used an online passport photo generator to get my photos.

This was the generator: https://online-passport-photo.com/

Took a good photo at home with no shadows etc.. Uploaded them to the generator that formats them onto a 5x4 photo.

Put the file on a memory stick and took it into asda. Printed the photo off for 15p each. Happy days.

If you're not into tech stuff don't bother but just a suggestion.

To clarify: he bought four of both, just in case. I think there's a few other places that do it. While some people do it at home, we took no chances. Good luck!

The guide you read is extremely out of date now. Your post from thatguyuknow is accurate.

Most people say one photo is the actual thing needed at embassy and they hand it back.

The clinic needs four (any size) so they can staple one to each page of the medical report. Those are for ID purposes. For the embassy and any other immigration needs, it is always US size.

Read every link on  https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/applying-for-the-visa/

and http://www.visamedicals.co.uk/us.htm

Ask London specific questions in the UK forum and you won't get answers from another country who may have different procedures at the embassy stage. https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/99-united-kingdom/
