my fiance and her 10 year old child set up a mediacl appointment with Bogota Colombia today before her fiance visa interview. Today they inform her that her boy needs to do a blood exam for TB that lab can only do ir Monday thru Thursday 7-10 am and that results take 5 days ronget back. Nonwhere in the instructions did Insee this.

So now she will have to spend nealymtwo wweks to get everything completed, just doesnt seem right. Anyone else experience this or anyway around it?

No way around a concern about TB

YMMV

Sounds like IGRA, which tests for TB.

There's no way around any test they ask for...they won't release the medical results otherwise.

so they will have to fly out 5 days prior for a toal stay of nearly two weeks

In Philippines, a positive finding of TB is a minimum 6 month treatment and only at the medical clinic in Manila.  If you choose medical treatment locally, then it is a minimum of one year

YMMV

The hospital has a specific time to do medical exam for the USA visa applicants but they should take the sputum test and also your fiance needs to have TB test .Not sure why they only ask for her kid but not her? And we did X-Ray to figure out if the applicants need to have further sputum test instead of blood test. Maybe it's different from her country. I ran back and forth 5 times to get the medical result bcuz  there's a shadow in my right lung so the doctor asked me to have my sputum test result then brought the report back to him.My kid and I have visa in hand later after our interview.
