Had my medical yesterday.  Day-tripped Surrey with a Swoop flight to Abbotsford ($68.01) and a rental car to get to Surrey ($32).  My "intermediate car" wound up being a fully loaded Ford Flex and that guzzled more gas than a car would have, so tack on another $20 in gas.  So all in, that's around $120, which came in at a lot less than adding more days onto the Montreal trip.

The imaging place for the chest x-ray apparently moved on December 20th but Dr. Cheema's office is still directing people to the old location (thankfully not far from the new one).  Annoying, but not a deal breaker, considering you still have to go to the first location to pee in a cup regardless.

Another box ticked.

Good info to know, thank you! We'll be going to Dr. Cheema as well.

Did they let you know when you can pick-up the medical results or they can mailed it to you and how much is the fee? I'm from Winnipeg and I'm still thinking where should i do my medical exam. Airfare from Winnipeg to Montreal is around $400++ 😯 just in case i choose Medisys and they're charging $470 + tax for the medical fee

They are being couriered via Purolator; they emailed me this morning that they were being sent out.  It was $350 for the medical and $35 for the courier (the total cost was definitely $385 all in).

My flight to Montreal clocked $620; I was pretty choked.

Wow! i guess i need to save a lot of money for the airfare:bonk: , that's what I'm thinking also to avail a flight via Swoop or Flair air for my medical but there's no direct flight to Montreal so I conclude Dr. Cheema will be my option to have my medical exams 😀 Are you from Manitoba also?

Hey guys quick question for Montreal filers:

i recieved the email to schedule my appointment and pay fee. It says “no appointments available” for Montreal. Anyone know when these dates start to open up or how to keep an eye on them? I have a flexible schedule so I would be willing to scoop up a cancellation if possible. Just unsure of how they notify you of such things, if they do at all. Also it’s prompting me to pay the fee but it doesn’t look like there is a way to pay it online? Which I would like to do. Thanks in advance !

Oh no!!! I was hoping for a late March interview, too. :( They will open April dates up during the last week of this month. Wah. Maybe you will get a cancellation but you'll just have to keep an eye on it for openings.

Yeah; unfortunately if no appointment times are showing up it means that everything in March has been booked.  There's no notification system for cancellations, so it's pretty much taking a quick check every day and hoping you get lucky.

You can pay the fee online; you're supposed to be able to debit but I had issues with that, but the online system happily took my credit (Visa).

In Montreal they don't even have you remove your pants.

use a tampon? no some blood in the urine will not negate if you have a communicable disease.

Thanks im just being paranoid thinking i need to move my medical just in case. 😂

In the FAQs for the medical on the panel physicians’ websites it says you don’t have to worry if you have your period; don’t stress about it.
