Passport with middle name and green card with married name

Hi everyone,

 

i am a green cardholder from marriage with a American citizen and I will be traveling to Brasil in January 2019 I bought my air tickets with my single last  name( Because-my passport is from Brasil ) I am worry if I will have problems when I am coming back to USA . My green card have my married last name also driving license and social security.

We have the same situation. My spouse's Brazilian passport is in his name prior to marriage. All other identity documents (Green Card, MN Drivers License) are in his married name.

 

We book his ticket in the name as shown in his Brazilian passport and we bring a certified copy of our marriage license on the trip along with his green card and it works fine.

  1. For boarding the plane to Brazil and upon arrival, use your Brazilian passport.
  2. To board the plane for your return trip, show your Green Card and a copy of your marriage license to document why there is a difference between the name on your green card and the name on your ticket.

You will be fine so don't worry about it so much. As long as you book the tickets in your passport name you will be fine.
