Hello, Is there anyone here experience to file ROC and send it to the wrong filing facility? I sent mine to Lee Summit MO instead of California. And it’s been 2 months since I send my ROC and never heard since then. I keep calling USCIS every week they keep telling to wait within 60days but it’s been 60 days already. I don’t know if they rerouted my case. My question how should it take to get a notice from them that they already recieved my case. Your help will truly appreciate it!

Schedule an Infopass appointment locally and ask.

I second the info pass appointment.

I already called the USCIS to get an infopass but sadly they don’t have any vacancies in Louisville Kentucky they send me to Indianapolis which is very far it’s 2hrs drive. My next step is to resend my ROC back and explain my situation attached the receipt for USPS that Setvice center in MO already received my ROC pocket.

i agree with the other posters. You need to set-up an Infopass appointment pronto. The longer you wait, the bigger mess you will likely be in. Sending explanation letters won't likely get the job done.

Honestly infopass is not going to be able to do anything for you. If your packet has not been entered into the system then it hasnt been entered into the system. There is nothing infopass can do about that. Do you expect them to ring the intake processing center and have someone sort through the stacks of packages to find yours?

Usually USCIS returns things when sent to the wrong place- but they can forward it. Unfortunately you wont know which until it happens. When does your card expire? You can either wait to see what happens- you will either get it back or get a case number if its forwarded to the correct center/ or (now) send a new-completed-duplicate 751 to the correct location (along with payment).

Currently people have been waiting 30-60 days for NOA after submitting due to heavy workloads. It is unknown if this is whats going on or if your packet is in the process of being sent back. No way to track if it was rejected, you just have to wait for it to come back to you.

Needless to say, if you do end up sending a duplicate package make sure you don't send it to California.

They have changed the filling locations as of 9/11.

Based where you live you will send it to AZ or TX. Check the address before.

My guess is that if they rejected it the package would have already been sent back.

If i were you I would put a stop on the payment for the package you already submitted, this way they will reject it even if it gets routed to the correct service center and I would send a duplicate ASAP.

Just my two cents.

Actually sending things back takes quite a bit of time. Its not simply the mail room worker tossing it the return pile. They have checklists they follow and if something doesnt meet the criteria (needs to be returned) they cant just return it. They have to log it in various ways and then give it to a second person or supervisor to verify that yes it is unacceptable- who then logs it some more. Then it goes back to the original worker who you guessed it logs it again before off the return mail room. As far as I know the mail room systems for logging are not something phone reps nor infopass have access to. And to try to get a congressman liaison or Obuds to reach out and see if its been logged to get returned yet would take a great deal of time- if they are even able to get info on the mail log system- by the time they get info the packet would most likely be returned or accepted already.

Since there is currently a delay in people getting NOAs due to workload I am assuming the same workload delays would impact the rejected/need to be returned items.

Cancelling the check and resubmitting is probably the best idea. I thought of it when I posted but didnt mention it because I cant remember off the top of my head what happens when you stop payment. Is the NOA issued before they cash the check or after? Anyone know? If its before then he may get a case number for that packet and then a second case number for the second packet. You can submit (and pay for) the 751 as many times as you want- so you theoretically can have 2 active at the same time unlike other processes where you can not have multiples going.
