My status says it ready for the interview.. do I schedule it myself or wait for the Santo Domingo embassy to send me appointment date?? Please advice...

Don't know if you got the epackage 3 or a letter from the embassy about the instruction or you've paid the visa fee?

Most embassies have the applicant schedule the interview themselves.   What does the embassy website indicate?

Your will have to schedule the appointment yourself at

you will have to make an account, using the beneficiary information you will schedule 2 appointment one for fingerprinting and the second one for the interview.
