I should have applied in Nov 2019 too when my window opened. I applied just this February.

I hope we all get news before our GC extension ends!

🤞🏼

You may want to confirm with an attorney or USCIS. If processing time has been increased then it shouldn't affect your status. Just my thought.

Thanks Eddy,

I did confirm that on yesterday, but till now no one knows the exact time and how long it will take to process due to COVID19 , I was wondering if any one in that group already request for an expedite it should be after the max rang of the processing time or I can request if I just past the Min

my office in San Francisco read 14:27.5 months to proceed the I751

You can go to DHS website and request Ombudsman to review you case. It worked for @LETSGOROCKETS so you may want to try that.

At this point the backlogs are severe and current government doesn't have incentives to process N400 faster for coting purposes. So, I am assuming that these delays are going to linger for a while.

I just called them 18 months expire in the next few weeks they scheduled for an info pass and have a IO to return my call will keep you updated.  We want to purchase a house but I’m afraid the banks will say I’m out of status. Sigh

I have a question do they give you like a stamp in your passport when your letter expire or they give another another extension letter? Anyone knows what happens after your letter is expired.

Great question! and how long is the validity of the stamp? Like our extension was for 18 months.

Not 100% sure but it shouldn't be another 18 extension, it just stamp in your passport for 90 days

but the problem is delay to give u the 18 extension after u applied for I751 then the processing time increasing from 19 moths to 22 to 27.5 and then stamp in your passport 90 days, ........ its never end ???

We had same issue. Bank wanted a letter from USCIS describing the extension. Luckily receipt came just in time.

Hello Mash, this is the link to send the inquiry thru Ombudsman: https://www.dhs.gov/case-assistance  it works same way you do at uscis timing process, the template ask a few more questions.  I sent it a week ago, they say average time answer is 3 weeks.  Let's hope this works for us to push our cases.  Good look!

You get a stamp on your passport that's valid for 12 months from the date of the stamp. You do not get another letter.

The stamp is valid for 12 months, not 90 days.
