ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Easter Bunny has been sent packing at St. Paul City Hall.

A toy rabbit, pastel-colored eggs and a sign with the words "Happy Easter" were removed from the lobby of the City Council offices, because of concerns they might offend non-Christians.

A council secretary had put up the decorations. They were not bought with city money.

St. Paul's human rights director, Tyrone Terrill, asked that the decorations be removed, saying they could be offensive to non-Christians.

But City Council member Dave Thune says removing the decorations went too far, and he wonders why they can't celebrate spring with "bunnies and fake grass."

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Hmmm.... someone chooses to get offended, let them. Freedom of choice.

Someone wants to put up decorations in city hall purchased with their own $$.. good on them.

Rabbits having anything to do with Christianity = nothing

Chocolate eggs having anything to do with Christianity = nothing

Some dumba$$ wanting to throw his weight around to appear "sensitive" to others issues = (will let bro Dean speak the words of wisdom here)

And Santa Claws gives him gives him coal in the stocking at christmas time... you know... the winter equinox day. Another fine tradition that is not biblical.

That's the first time I've ever heard the Easter bunny was a christian symbol!

My stupid boring church won't let us decorate for easter because the Easter Bunny is 'pagan' in their eyes...

Now if it was Christ on a cross, or a crown of dripping thorns, that would be another thing!

You just cant please everyone!! The easter bunny and pastel eggs have been around for so long, leave it alone. If you dont celebrate it then look away, thats my thought on it. Same with the Happy Holidays #######, MERRY CHRISTMAS IS WHAT IT IS. This subject pisses me off now i need to go smoke!
