I assume that you are saying that you did not receive your initial NOA1 extension letter after recently submitting a I-751 Application.

Yes, I would try calling ‭(800) 375-5283‬ to inquire.

Have you changed your address recently?

You should call and get on hold a Tier 2 IO - they, at least, can tell you whether an Extension Letter was sent to you or not.

Or  you can  submit a case inquiry on-line (there is an option there -  "Didn't receive  Notice or document by mail"), through USCIS website. But again, some people had successful experience with that, some - never received  that "lost or missing" document and had to get I-551 stamp anyway.

Also, if the letter was sent to you, but for some reason wasn't delivered, you should check with your local Post Office  if they have your name on the list at the address you live - very often they don't deliver any Government  letters if a name is not on the list. This happened to my son - his Ext. Letter was not delivered due to this, despite the fact he didn't have any problem with his correspondence before.  So, he had to get his passport stamped  with I-551 right after biometric appointment.

Once we fixed  it and our Post Office put his name on the list, no problem since then and his second, 18 months Ext. Letter,  found him  without any problem. Although it was already useless, because his green card got kept a year ago  by USCIS in exchange for the stamp. But anyway it gave us some peace in mind.

if you decide to go for the stamp, you should make  a copy of your green card - in case if it's taken by USCIS.

Don't be stressed out because of this - it's really not a big deal! :)

Good luck!!!
