Hi guys I'm wondering if you can advice me on this.

I came to the US in may of 2017. Married the next day and  I've been here for almost a year and a half.

It took over a year to get my green card so I've been only been a permanent resident since June of 2018.

So when can I apply for naturalization? Is it three years from becoming a permanent resident or does the whole time being here count?

I hope that makes sense.

You will be eligible June 2021. You can submit the application 90 days prior to the date printed on your greencard.

You must apply for ROC before applying for citizenship.

The three year rule (or five year rule) applies based on the time as a permanent resident.  Time in the US prior to getting the GC doesn't count.

Good Luck!
