So I wonder how loud the enlightened progressive feminist would be screaming if Trump has said this ?

John Kerry: Trump Has 'Maturity of an 8-Year-Old Boy With the Insecurity of a Teenage Girl'

Kerry is spot on  It is exactly how Trump behaves. I wonder if the adults in the White House have taken away his cell phone because surprisingly there has not been one tweet about Manafort flipping.

Whether you like or dislike Trump, I'm not sure there are any real grounds to disprove the assertion made by Kerry. Anyone can see Trump does come off as insecure and emotionally immature. Even his supporters have said that from time to time.

Trump does compensate for it in other areas. The assertion is not saying he is not intelligent or hard working or that he is not competent in other areas. It's specific to his emotional maturity and security, which we could perhaps condense to say his ego needs some work. Not an uncommon issue for human beings really.

Everyone has their personal issues. Fortunately as a married man, I have someone to help point out those that I haven't already recognized myself.  Also fortunately I am not in a high profile public position where I could have everyone on earth tell me what is wrong with me. I do still try to work on the things I recognize. Hopefully we all do that.

You mean Kerry agrees with you ...  Maybe you can find a meme to go along with your quote, you know,  your signature response

Here's the transcript from Maher's outgoing monologue from the episode where Kerry made those remarks, a few zingers in there:

Trump clip: “And they want to raid Medicare, to pay for Socialism”

Remember back in 2009, the ######### at the townhall who shouted “Keep your Government Hands off my Medicare?” Well that dummy is now president.

But I still don't hear Democrats explaining, that Medicare is Socialism, and so are the other super popular programs like Social Security and the ban on denying coverage for preexisting conditions.

Trump just gave farmers a $12 Billion bailout to make up for his stupid tariffs. We took tax money from some people, mostly in New York and California, and gave it to farmers. That's Socialism.

Socialism is the reason you don't have to bring your own highway when you want to drive somewhere. It's why there's a fire department to show up when your burning Nike's spread to the house.

The US military does more Socialism by 9am than Venezuela does all day. We build weapons that even the Pentagon says it doesn't want. That's a jobs program. Socialism, you're soaking in it.

Even Trump voters like their government goodies. So why can't Democrats all get in a room and come out with a single answer to the scary Socialism charge?

And Democrats response is? I would say crickets, but crickets make some noise.

There is a wholly compromised Russian asset in the White House, you can't make a little political hay out of that?

He's not on our side.” That so hard? He's not on our side, literally. When stuff comes out where he has to side, with either our FBI and Intelligence Agencies, you know, from America, or what Russia says, he goes with them.

Nothing? Nothing to make out of that, even though he's constantly confessing it? Trump's twitter feed is like that scene in every Bond movie where the villain tells Bond his evil plan. He's the man with the Golden Shower.

Here's (Republican strategist) Steve Schmidt after the summit in Helsinki:

It's the musings of an imbecile. Vladimir Putin looks across to the other podium, and what he sees there is a fool, who's doing Vladimir Putin's bidding. Trump is what the Russians call a useful idiot. Someone in service to the Russian Federation, either unwittingly, or wittingly.”

Contrast that with Dianne Feinstein who said last year “Look, this man is going to be president most likely for the rest of his term. I just hope he has the ability to learn, and to change, and if he does, he can be a good president.”

No, he can't do any of those things. And Democrats rhetoric does not nearly match the level of that crisis. The Democrats, as usual, are making a molehill out of a mountain. The FBI, the CIA, the Department of Justice, especially here on 9/11 week, let's remember these are thousands of America's most dedicated public servants. The straight arrows, who protect us. He attacks them. He's not on our side.

How about this for a slogan. “We're not socialists, you're traitors.”

Oddly enough I doubt most of my friends in the MDR would disagree with you. Ceritanley here in the middle I don't.  I love the direction he has taken the country, but dear lord some of the things he says. Like why bring up the death toll in PR again. He may very well be right, but what does it accomplish except putting it back in the news cycle?

I agree with Maher, there is Socialism everywhere in the United States. The Military is the biggest socialist program in the world! That is why it always amuses me when I hear Americans particularly those on the right think Socialism is some terrible thing.

It was Capitalism that destroyed a lit of people's lives in 2008. A balance needs to be struck between Capitalism and Socialism.

How many people’s lives were destroyed in 2008, and where?

The government allowed the credit crisis of 2007 to happen.  Capitalism has brought us back from the  brink.
