Hello everyone, 

 

I sent my N400 on March 22nd 2017. 

1st fingerprint 04/06/2017 

no update until 08/01/2018 where my online case status changed from "fingerprint appointment Schduled" to (In line for an interview).

a week after Aug 01 2018 I received a letter for 2nd fingerprint! 

What is this mean? Anyone had a similar experience? 

I filed in Seattle.

Biometrics are only valid for 15 months, meaning yours expired in July. Their system flagged this, and scheduled you a second appointment to have them captured again in preparation for your interview.

Oh my gosh. I also filed at the Seattle office, but I had my biometrics done in August 2017. So, does that mean if I don’t have my interview in three more months I have to redo my fingerprints?! That’s rediculous! 

 

I hope your N400 interview is soon. The backlog and complete randomness of the Seattle office is unbelievable.
