Hi! Everyone at VisaJourney. I’m the first time poster. My question is that it is meaningful to send more pictures as evidence of relationship to USCIS after sending I-129f.

My fiancé sent I-129f on March 2018 and we are expecting to received NOA2 in the beginning of coming October.

I and my fiancé were together as a couple in the US more than yen years ago. At that time, I was a student with F1 Visa and I had to go back to my country after graduation.

Although we talked about getting marry in the US, he did nothing to keep me in the US legally.  I was very upset that he didn’t propose me before my graduation and went back to Japan with a broken heart.

After that, he came to Japan to tell me sorry and he wanted to marry me but I couldn’t forgive him at that time.  Eventually I decided to break up with him.

Last year, he informed me that he was going to come to japan as a business trip.  We met in person and decided to spend the rest of our life together.

Our I-129f included the letter of intent marry explaining all of above and only one photo showing us together.

After we decide to get marry, we met three times in person.  However, unfortunately we took only one photo after realizing it is essential for applying K1 Visa.

Now I am wondering if we should have attached photos taken ten years ago to show that we used to be together as a couple.

We were together for 4 years so we have many pictures and some on them were with our families.

Do you think it is ok to send additional photos to USCIS from the past to proof that we used to be together at this moment?

I am very worried that we may get REF because of the lack of photos and hopefully I can do anything do about it now.

Any advices will be appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

No, don't send anything at this point. The rule is to wait until RFE and only then send them what they want.

In fact, proofs of relationship aren't really required at that stage. Just bring the photos to the interview.

No need to send additional pictures to USCIS. At this time it's best to let things "play" out and wait for the next steps that USCIS will take. It's still going to be another 30-60 days minimum to wait to hear from USCIS about your case. Relax, keep busy and get to know others in your sub-forum. There is a thread started for Japan filers here

Roel and Greenhaum,

Thank you very much for your comments.

I understand that USCIS is just checking if required documents are included and scanning them.

I read many comments saying that people sent many pictures with I-129f and this made me really concerned.

I was not aware that proofs are not essential at this time. Yes, I am going to bring pictures for the interview.  Thank you again!

You have to submit evidence of meeting in person within the last 2 years prior to filing the submission. This is why people send photo's. Unfortunately at this point it sounds like you may have not read the I-129F instructions issued by USCIS in terms of what's required to be sent with the I-129F, and you may receive a RFE. At which point you will then be able to send in further information. As mentioned above, you now just need to wait, but your concern is valid. I hope the process moves quickly for you.

I-129F Submitted: 01 November 2017NOA1 Received: 03 November 2017NOA2 Received: 22 May 2018 | NVC Received: 08 June 2018 | Consulate Received: 06 July 2018 | Medical: 27 July 2018 | Interview: 10 August 2018 (APPROVED) | VISA in Hand: 22 August 2018 | POE: 28 September 2018 :joy:

Days between NOA1 until VISA in hand: 292
