That really is weird! Had my interview yesterday, but went alone... they asked me how we had met (which I almost choked while answering, I was so nervous haha), if he had ever been to Brazil, if I’d ever gone there, if I’d ever stayed in the US for longer than allowed, and when had he proposed... After calming down while answering the first question, the rest came out easily. I took a bunch of Facebook history and a call log from this year to have proof of relationship from since we sent the petition, but they didn’t ask for anything.

She wasn’t SUPER friendly like the Brazilian who talked to me before (getting all my documents), but she certainly didn’t ask me these kinds of questions either!

She approved my visa and told me to check my email in about 2 weeks, because they’ll let me know when it’s ready for pickup at the CASV in São Paulo.

I hope you get approved! Best of luck to you guys!

Yes it didnt stop  here  she ask me if  you two are doing sex or not and she ask me where you took her on date when she came two years ago and three years ago when and where you took her on date  n 4 years ago who text first.  😂😂😂 man i was surprised. I tho. I wish i was petitioner i would have wooop your ### thro law suit

Looks like they want to be sure you’ve been in a relationship as long as you claim to. It’s unusual to be engaged that long and just now deciding to go for your immigration. And if I’m not mistaken you’re not Brazilian so it’s reasonable they’re prying a little more.

im sorry you have to go through this but you should be fine. Your case is not like the “norm” at the embassy so they’re getting some extra work done to make sure everything checks out

Well i have shown the proof from start as 2014  because i had that history in my FaceTime and then right 2017 and 2018 2019. Hopefully that will be enough because requirement is 2 years  but you know questions was ridiculous. I have seen people from 10 years relationship but yes as i am not brazilian maybe thats the point.  But i did whatever i had and lets see what they do.

The requirement for the i129f is to have met within 2 years prior to filing it but in no way they narrow it down for the proof of relationship required at the interview. When it’s up to the consulate/ immigration officer, they can pretty much ask or request anything they want to. Rdj is not a hard one, so that’s uncommon. Hopefully it’s not a new trend for whoever is going forward right now.

let us know how it goes

I think all 3 of us couples are on this site. Possibly all 3 will interview the same day. NVC says ready and the last I looked the shipment has made it to Miami. Just waiting to hear back from my  fiancé on setting up the interview. I'm so excited!!

On average, how long does it take to get the p3 email once your case arrives in Rio?

It took me 5 weeks from noa2. But as long as your case says ready you can go ahead, that’s what people here has been doing
