So I'm trying to do my paperwork for Removal of conditions and while I was looking through our papers I realized that the notary filed our taxes as single instead of married filing seprately. I'm really worried that if I sent the taxes like this they will reject my petition and I only have until Octobe before my Green Card expires. Does anyone know if this will be a problem? What should I do?

Amend your taxes immediately.

I would wait until your taxes are fixed to send out roc.

09.2015 - Green Card received.

24.07.2017 - NoA1.

01.08.2018 - RoC approved.

I agree with @Roel.  Amend. You might even get some money back :)

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Notaries don't do taxes. Normally clients get a draft tax return to look over before giving the green light for tax papers to be filed. 

 

Find a CPA and file 1040x. 

ROC 2009
Naturalization 2010
