No. The approved I-130 remains indefinitely. If you don't do anything with it for a year, NVC may move it to the NRC, which may mean an I-824 being needed to pull it back out.

Anyway, as long as you take any action on the case, and/or remain in contact with the consulate, it should remain open.

Eventually, an I-130 can be destroyed in accordance with retention rules, but this is after sitting for an extended period of time.

The post above is the correct answer; the other post used incorrect terminology (an approved I-130 will never "expire").

So, Approved I-130 doesn't have an expiry Period of 4 months like K1 instead it is for indefinite period but it does expire if we dont contact NVC within 1 year after approval? Right?

NO.  The approval never expires.  This was explained well by another poster already.  There are "consequences" of not contacting NVC for more than a year, but the consequence is not "expiration" of the petition approval.

Why do you ask?  What is your actual concern?

My petition was approved on April 4th, 2018. We got Approval Letter in May 22 or something. We started uploading documents on CEAC since then. So far we have uploaded everything except for petitioner's financial documents. We are in the middle of getting it. Its been 3 months since our petition was approved. That's why was asking. I hope it's not an issue that we have taken so long to submit/upload all documents?
The only reason we are waiting this long to upload all documents is that we want to upload Joint Sponsor's details as well along with Petitioner. They havent asked us for a joint sponsor yet. Should we just upload petitioner's financial documents or should we upload Joint sponsor's details as well as we know they will ask for it later on.
Thanks.

The delay is not an issue.  If you need a joint sponsor, upload all financial documents together.
