2 quick questions.

1) I just downloaded my entire chat log with my husband from Facebook. The document is over 2,000 pages long, so obviously I won't be submitting it all. Who has experience with this, specifically? Will screenshots of messages here and there pasted into a doc work? Or should the messages be copied and pasted into a document? (without all the formatting, photos, etc).

2) Is it really necessary to copy each page of my passport? I didn't read about that until I came to this group.

Our experience from marriage overseas and filing in the US:

We submitted nothing but what they asked for.  That and a few wedding photos would be my suggestion.

I never copies all passport pages and never heard of a rule to do so.  Where did that come from?

Thanks for your experience!!

We live in Georgia and things are just different here. All we have is our marriage certificate and photos/chat logs. No lease, joint bank accounts, etc.

The rule I actually read here in this forum. It seems so unnecessary haha. I'll take my chances.

Is your spouse overseas?  IF so, that is all we had.

The bonafide marriage evidence applies to AOS or ROC and I always suggest the same list of evidence.  IF you are filing AOS with spouse in the country then the bonafide marriage list that applies to ROC (bank accounts, insurance, same address drivers licenses, shared credit cards, beneficiary on life insurance / retirement, possible joint tax returns etc) that all comes with a SS card applies.

For overseas spouses?  We didn't have much either, nobody does.  We sent in a basic package and that's it.

Yes, we are both overseas. Ok, great. That is a relief. :)

we read to send each and every page of the non USC to see about travel to possible terrorist countries/may not be necessary but it does save invesigation time as that will be one of the things USCIS looks into

easy for them to do on the USC

for those of u that do not submit this on the beneficiary USCIS is left to investigate and it months to get info such as this from other countries

one of our members was a year in AP while waiting for immigration to get criminal report on her husband from Saudi when it showed up on his passport that he had been a year in that country

of course this is harder on the high fraud countires

1.  Yes, a few screen shots in a document showing examples of how and how frequently you communicate will do nicely.

2.  Yes, it is really necessary to submit EITHER all pages of passport OR photocopy of Certified Copy of US Birth Certificate, OR photocopy of Consular Report of Birth Abroad, OR photocopy of Naturalization Certificate.

Copies of passport pages for both parties, as applicable that show time spent together in person are helpful as relationship evidence.  Item 2 above is just evidence of US Citizenship.

I was told all pages should be sent since the US passports have page numbers but not identifying information on each page.  I have seen some foreign passports that have barcodes and names on each page.  I just send it all so the entire passport can be reconciled.  Just sending the stamped pages don't prove they are my stamps.  On the other hand, any copies can substitute pages so I guess I will just error on the safe side.
