Good afternoon all!

 

I'm just curious how "updated" is the online case status?

 

I filed my packet on May 15 and USCIS received on May 16. 

Received NOA receipt on Jun 9, biometric done on Jun 18.

Received SMS notice said they need evidence for my I-485.

Jun 25 received the courtesy letter mentioned they will need my I-693 at a later date.

 

the online status of my 130, 131, 765 is "Case Was Received"

and my 485 is "Request for Initial Evidence Was Mailed"

 

Just wanted to know if this status update is normal? cos i read some other people they got the status "Fingerprint was received" or "Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview" or "Fingerprint Review Was Completed" something like that?

  • (Day 33) Jun 18 2018 - Arrived Helena ASC at 9.15am (Appointment at 10am), finished at 9.35am (Yea it was super quick!)
  • (Day 35) Jun 20 2018 - Received SMS & Email notification request for evidence for my I-485

No i didn't submit the I-693 when i mailed my package cos the nearest authorized medical center they didn't have opening spot till May 30. So i decided to mailed my packet without it.

 

My medical report is date May 30. The doctor said if it expired they can renew it for free.

Ok, you will need your Medical Exam,, either you can send it to them or you can take it with you to the interview for AOS ( I would take it with me). Just be sure by the time you go for interview the Medical Exam has not expired and you have the Vaccination approved by the USCIS CIVIL SURGEON.

Yup i have that on hand order and its done by the approved uscis civil surgeon. 

I called USCIC asked them if they want me mail to them they said i just hold on to that and take it with me to the interview then its fine.

 

It's just bugging me about the online status still havent change lol

Don't worry about the online status. It will change just give time and don't stress out too much about it. USCIS are notorious when it comes to changing status for cases online. It is different from one applicant to another.

Which case tracker are you using? Cos uscis.dhs.gov was more current for me until today. Egov.uscis.gov had "Interview notice sent" or something and it updated all the way to "Card was picked up by USPS. Check both but I've been trusting the first more.

i always use egov.uscis.gov cos the login for the dhs one kinda complicated haha

Are you adjusting status from B2?

I'm adjusting from F1. I would make an account on the dhs one if you're constantly checking your status like I was (still am). I could have found out our approval 3 days earlier than I did. And thank you so much!

Its looks like we have kinda the same timeline, and the same situation, the only form that shows updates is my I-485 the other ones (the same as you submitted in the package) just show that they have receive the application. the good thing is my updates on the I-485 have been pretty on time, and I didn't have to wait too much to get notifications.

yea looks like you filed one month earlier than me.

The USCIS told me don't have to worry about the online status cos it updates depends on the officer. 

it just bugs me to see the RFE status since the evidence they mentioned it's just the courtesy letter

Since I got 2 status updated lately, both of them are appeared on the egov.uscis.gov website but not the myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov website :blink:

  • Feb 17 2018 - Arrived USA with B2-Tourist Visa
  • Apr 01 2018 - US Citizen Boyfriend proposed
  • Apr 18 2018 - Got Married in Montana, USA
  • May 15 2018 - Mailed out USCIS applications (I-130, I-130A, I-485, I-864, I-765, I-131) to Chicago Lockbox
  • (Day 1) May 16 2018 - Mail arrived Chicago Lockbox (confirmed by USPS) 
  • (Day 19) Jun 04 2018 - Received email & SMS notification - case received (All money orders being cashed on this day)
  • (Day 24) Jun 09 2018 - Received all receipts (NOA) from USCIS, also the Biometrics Appointment letter (Appointment date: Jun 18) 
  • (Day 33) Jun 18 2018 - Arrived Helena ASC at 9.15am (Appointment at 10am), finished at 9.35am (Yea it was super quick!)
