hi all,

this is kinda mute as i have already sent in the r.o.c. application and it was recieved june 11th but after reading another vjers post as usual paranoia creeps in and i start to worry. The question they raised was on the application do you leave pages like the " translator page" etc blank or put n/a ???? i was rethinking my application and i left it blank ( and i left those similar pages blank for the AOS with nothing negative happening). Although nothing can be done now are uscis  going to be so small minded to send the i-751 application form back in 12/14 months or so and say it was filled out incorrectly or will they see the bigger picture and realize that the blank pages and the questions don't apply to the particular applicant.. ? ??

It really should make no difference, unless the instructions specifies to either leave blank or write n/a you can do either or.  You are not going to get denied for something like that.

I highly doubt leaving the translator part blank will be an issue.

There are other parts of the form where it's better suited with N/A instead of leaving it blank though. I have seen people getting RFEs for leaving certain questions blank because it didn't apply to them, and USCIS thought they just missed the question. With N/A at least USCIS know that you have actually seen and read the question, leaving it blank it can make them issue an RFE thinking you just forgot to answer it.

Also, for questions that require a number such as "How many children do you have?" (I know this isn't a real question, only my example), it's better to write 0 instead of N/A or leaving it blank if you don't have any.

You should be fine to leaving it blank. Unless you used a translator and "forgot" to fill up that section.

I think the British overthink what the USCIS might think. Scandi makes good points about if it's an important question and it appears  you maybe  skipped it without reading or answering. The translator section is hardly a critical piece of info. Stop reading and second guessing. You have a long wait. Check back in in 6 months. Meanwhile, start reading the citizenship forum. Nothing left to do in ROC for now.
