Is it necessary to change the beneficiary address if she moved before the interview?

First of all, thanks for all the help received on this forum...an amazing community and a great resource. :-)

 

My fiancee lives in Singapore, we filed our I-129F for her in January.

Since that time, she has moved to another address about one block away, but still has access to mail received at her old address if necessary.

 

Do we need to file for an address change? As far as I know, everything from here on out is handled by e-mail (Singapore embassy).

As far as sending her the visa/passport after the interview, couldn't that be handled during the interview, i.e. "here is my new address, please send the passport to..."?

 

Just trying to avoid what seems like a formidable process to make the address change unless absolutely necessary...

I think there's an option for you to even pick up your passport instead of get it delivered to your home.

OK, good to know.

 

Appreciate the responses, at this point it seems like there are no worries. As long as we keep our eyes open, we won't need to change the address before the interview.

Edit: I don't know if USCIS could change beneficiary's physical address. I only noticed people had changed petitioner's address on USCIS stage.

Maybe you can try to email embassy in Singapore after case arrives embassy.

 

I have moved to another city since my fiance filed the I-129F last October.

I submitted an inquiry on embassy's website to provide my new address yesterday. Three hours later a representative from consulate in Guangzhou called me to confirm my email address and current physical address. Then case status has changed to "Administrative processing" since yesterday(June 15). I would guess P3 is on its way!

 

I assume that submitting an inquiry to report new address kinda speeds up the whole process because as far as I know people won't get their P3 in 2 weeks after it's "ready". Just my personal experience. Hope it would help.

A thing called a "visa application" will ask for a current address.  Give the new address on the DS160 "visa application".  It will also be asked for on the affidavit of support.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

So it appears that the beneficiary's new address can be stated on the DS-160 form before the interview, but I will also change it on the I-134 per your suggestion pushbrk, thanks.

 

The Singapore Embassy has been responsive with regards to e-mail requires, so that is also a possiblility then, thanks very much sysulin1210.
