Hi all,

My fiancé had his interview at the embassy today and I was able to join (note- If you are the US fiancé, make sure to bring your passport to be able to get into the embassy).

His appointment was at 10:30am and we arrived around 9:45. We weren't expecting to be let in but they checked us in and we were told to go through security and into the building to line up. We waited in a line with other visa applicants for probably about 20 or 25 minutes which really wasn't too bad. They they pulled K-1 visa applicants out of the line, checked us in and gave us our number. We were told to go up to the first floor and go to the last 5 windows. We sat in the area around the corner from the regular visa sections and it was all K visa applicants. We met a lovely couple who were also waiting and another man who was waiting as well. We probably sat down for about 5 minutes when fiancé was called up to the first window to hand all of his paperwork in.

After that, we sat down for another 5 minutes and fiancé was called up for his interview!

The kind lady behind the window asked him one question:
-How did you guys meet?

And then the lady asked for our updated letters of intent and said the visa would be here in 1 - 2 weeks!!!! javascript:emoticon(':kicking:')

After so much waiting and stress, this was the most stress-free part of the entire journey so far! javascript:emoticon(':)')

Does anyone else think that the interview has been by far the easiest part of the process so far?!!

Congratulations! Interviews like these makes further believe that so long as you have your papers in order and didn't miss anything, your case will be approved with no issues. Seems like the lady asked your fiance that one question as a formality :).

All the best!

Thank you so much! And yeah I was thinking the same thing! I mean, there was 2 other couples there that literally were in & out just like we were! Just so thankful it went by smoothly! Now for the POE!

Yeah it's been a very long process for us! Lol! Luckily, I'm living here in the UK for work so we don't have to be apart! Good luck to you guys though, I hope you don't have to wait that long either!

The interview was by far the easiest part of the process for me, although I was asked 6 questions! :D

Congratulations, and good luck for the future.
