Beddy2015- You are sooo lucky, I filed mine too in Vermont, and mail the application on June 30 2018, and they stamped that have been received on July 10 2018, but I have not heard anything yet. not even seeing they cash my check. I'm so worried because my GC is expired on Aug 9 2018.

I called in last week and they just said that they have received the application. Nothing else. any advise?

You should really join the July 2018 filers as that is where your filing timeline fits and will be able to compare better with those that are with your same grouping here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/677288-i-751-july-2018-filers/

They confirmed that they received it, that is good but at this point all you can do is wait for your NOA1 to come in the mail.

Btw,

What is NOA? does this mean a stamp date that USCIS received on your application of I-751. Why didn't you guy have the column where people filled in the date that we will receive the extension form of 797C?

Thank you

The NOA stands for Notice of Action and in this case the NOA1 is the Date of extension letter/form 797c. Also, you are never given a date of when you will receive the letter, you just receive it when when you receive so having a column for that wouldn't make any sense.

I Do not know where should I ask my question. sorry if not related:

I have my conditional CG and me and my wife got divorce recently  because she did adultery, and now my lawyer telling me we can choose more than one option as bellow:

1. my spouse is deceased

2. my marriage was entered in a good faith but the marriage was terminated through divorce or annulment.

3. i entered the marriage in a good faith and during the marriage i was battered or subjected to external or was subject of extreme cruelty

4. my parents entered the marriage in a good faith .......

5. the termination of my status of removal from the united states would result s  an extreme hardship

he says we should choose option 2,3 and 5. don't you guys think the option 5 is just for asylum or irrelevant to adultery?

Hi people! Sorry to jump in this thread, I actually filed in July 2018, literally last minute (due to divorce), and I filled with a fee waiver. I do have a full time job, but it is paycheck to paycheck and I have 3 kids. I was well below the limits. Also my kids (not me) receive food stamps to help out a little.
I was told there is someone here who filed with a fee waiver, and I can't find them. Please, if you read this, give a shout out.

I sent our package to CSC and it was received on the 16th July. I haven't heard anything yet. My GC has now expired (it expired on the 19th July). My I751 was filed with a divorce waiver and a fee waiver.

Let me know if you have been in this situation please. I am starting to get worried.
thank you!

Click "spoiler" below for a detailed account of our journey to a CR1 visa via DCF in Athens, Greece.

January 2016 - Finished gathering all documents and getting them translated

29th June - ISSUED!!!!!!1st July - Visa packages and passports delivered to DHL.4th July - Visas in hand! CU in two weeks USA!!

It was only  copy of the previous NOA extension letter that they sent a month ago

Why did they mail you a copy if you already got the original? 🤔

Option 2 would really be your option.....unless you were actually a battered spouse. Either way, you are filing alone. Make sure to include your divorce decree or documents showing the dissolution of marriage in your paperwork to USCIS.

Have you filed already?

Filed: AOS (apr) Country: Australia
Timeline

We moved shortly after filing (I could have waited until after the move to file but didn't want to waste any more of the 90 day period beforehand). We  submitted a service request for the NOA after a month of waiting and then they forwarded my old NOA and then sent another one by mistake. I was hopeful it was going to be a biometrics letter but no such luck!

Filed: IR-1/CR-1 Visa Country: India
Timeline

My wife filed I751 in June and got receipt with 18 months extension but no bio-metric yet. She is planing to travel out of  country for 4 months  due to family urgency. She has to take care of ailing grand mother.

1. Is it possible to reschedule biometric by 4 months

2. WE couldn't get infopass appointment in Dallas. Always getting same error(Currently, there are no available appointments. Please check again tomorrow. Is infopass appointment mandatory? Can she try walk-in?

What are her options?
